Our house is on the crest between the Meuse basin and the Scheldt basin. Small beer as hills go but enough to make for very local weather. We often have sun while all around is clouds and I also note that often enough we have rain in the back garden and none in the front and vice versa. It's an old farmhouse 8 metres deep!
I love snow business - as long as we're not snowed in. That's not so funny.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
I looked out our rear windows the other day - blue sky, bright, some fluffy clouds, not too many grey ones. Out the front window - the big bank of black clouds looming!
I love a cloud inversion - that's a great experience - up on a hill and looking down on a bed of marshmallow
We don't get the amount of snow we used to get. I can remember during Jan/Feb, when we get most of our snowfall, we regularly had to dig our way through to the stable doors just to feed horses and ponies. That was fun
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I still find it fascinating that the Norwegian forecast is more accurate for us right down here, than our local "experts". Good though!
