Forgot you'd had a 'recent' hog Hosta - knew someone had image

I think my holiday's affected my brain....or what's left of it anyway image

Dove uses specialist hog food she gets from the GC. Widely available - even my local one stocks it and it's a bit useless unless you want a vase or jewellery..image

Tetley - 'climb over fences'  ...what are you putting in that cat food?  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

  • I did read they can easily climb about a metre

I'm hoping they don't climb up the raised bed patch as I'm putting strawberries in next week and had planned to put slug pellets around. Ill have to rethink that
  • We visited a house last weekend where my daughter was dog sitting. Lovely, big garden with a pond. I went down for a look. It was completely covered in duckweed with a tiny mound of prickles poking up in the middle! Really upsetting that a small hog  had fallen in and drowned. There wasn't an escape ramp. Daughter under strict instructions to inform the dog owner.????

  • test box put out last night that i had made as a sort of propagator, wasnt really good enough.  covered in plastic and has air slits

meat cat food was still there this morning, will monitor further

  • I haven't seen the local hedgepigs all summer...hope they're okayimage

    Wearside, England.
  • im finding hard to find a relevant box or wood to build a home.  dont want to be spending silly money
