The right people through to the semi for me anyway.

The low point for me was Elaine Paige murdering 'Argentina'.  Shame because she used have such a wonderful voice.  She spoke much of the song tonight - maybe she's got a problem with her voice at the moment.

I agree - the right result (rather overdue, perhaps). A little less gushing next week image

And it seems like sacrilege to say Elaine Paige was singing flat but she definitely was off-key on the bits she did sing. image

Thank to the Gods on mount Olympus, the annoying judge had gone, the dance is on. Elaine Page spoilt my favourite music tonight, what on earth happened to that once faboulus voice.

"Don't cry for my old Cortina," was the joke in the early eighties. The song's that old.

I used to say "Don't cry for me Arthur Negus" which really does show my age - and that of anybody who remembers him so be careful with your comments image

Joking apart, 'Evita' was the first recording of a musical I ever purchased, and I still love it.  It was the pre-production version with Julie Covington taking the lead, and was absolutely fantastic.  Only got rid of it when the record player gave up the ghost.

Good evening everybody watched the dance off , agree Judge should go and Elaine Page should retire

Was disappointed with Elaine's singing, too.

Glad Rinder went, he's been getting on my nerves for weeks.

  • I recorded the results show, so thankfully I could whizz through Elaine's singing. Never have been a fan but last night she just shouldn't have sung.

Agree it was the Judges turn to go, but he really had improved every week. Hopefully Claudia will be next.

I've got nothing against Claudia but agree that I would like to see the other 3 in the final.  I just think their performances throughout the series have been a little better.

Being such a tiddler at 4'6" to 4'9", depending on which info you read, doesn't help her to get the flowing lines of people like Louise either.  She's actually done far better than I thought she might.

Away at the weekend so have only just watched SCD and the results.   Loved the Willy Wonka choreography but not the surplus flowers getting in the way.  Unfortunately ore wasva bit messy with his feet first time round but I'm pleased he's survived the dance off.

Louise's dance was glorious - clever choreography from Kevin and very well danced by her and she was clearly enjoying herself and the character.

For the first time in the whole series I enjoyed Claudia's dance.  She's always been fit and precise but this time she had some feeling too and her costume didn't make her look dumpy.  Trust AJ to cock up a big lift at the end and did anyone else notice he let the door slam in her face when they came out after their scores?  Silly, selfish boy.

Loved Danny's tango.  Oti is so clever with her choreography and he pulls it off every time.

Pleased the judge has gone.  He did very well and improved every week - till this one - but his samba lacked bounce and looked clumsy.

I did not enjoy the opening pro dance with Anton nor Elaine Page's performance (Julie Covington's version is the one for me)  but the other pro dances from West Side Story and Chicago were great.  Love musicals anyway but usually prefer them on film.
