It's your dear, just waiting for the frost to have it then I will bring it up to you. In fact I have two, so your lottie plot will be lovely next year.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
They do Gran, all those open type I pictured above are from seed, all from a Magenta coloured one!!!
but if you don't mind what colours you get, they are a sure way of making lots for next year, they do bloom in the first year, and make tubers, so you can either dig them up if you like a particular one, or just let them take their chance in the ground and collect some seeds.

Hopefully "the knee" will be sorted next year and I can actually look after the garden properly next year.
Oh wow lovely dahlias everyone!, Lyn the orange ones amazing what on earth do you feed it to get that size?
I've grown some cheapy Wilkinsons tubers this year one's the brightest shocking pink, its growing on me
.
Do the dahlias grow from seed ? I have several which I will try to upload pictures and I'm willing to save the seed if so .
they're easy from seed granma , but they'll not "come true" all the time
I've done some from seed and I know Lyn certainly has.
Part of the fun is not knowing how they'll turn out, but most flower in year one so you can always discard those , or give away, those you don't like.

.a Autumn browny red with flecks of beige and like a burnished overlay.I'd lounge to grow this from seed so I shall have a go .
cafe au lait. The first flower this year. I've taken it off to encourage others.
Fidget ,!
What a beautiful shade , cafe au lait. Certainly describes
I congratulate you on your choice of props too, overall , a lot of thoughts gone into your photo !!
I'm just practising for the wedding table decorations. I think cafe au lait will be too large for the jugs.
I will have some brass and copper jugs available in three weeks. Any one interested, PM me. All sankey, circa 1920.
