I would like to ask (in a non inflammatory way) why somebody would consider it acceptable to bring issues of terrorism, paedophilia and rape into a discussion about cats digging in one's garden.
I refuse to enter into the arguments about cats but I do object to rudeness and unreasonable tirades on the forum.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Mind you I'm a dog person and I've got 3 cats! I've never actually made a decision to get a cat, but I've 2 ex ferals that have turned up and then after quite a bit of time decided that indoors was preferable. I've another that was rehomed to me after a very sorry story. (I'm a sucker!) We also have another VERY feral one comes to the farm when it's desperate for food. We leave food out for that in one of the barns.
one of them , Sebastian, is lovely. He's got his leg in a splint ( made to measure in Canada of all places , £50 a time ) because he was caught in a rat trap . WE DON'T APPROVE. and he's got a wonky tail after being hit by a car. WE DON'T APPROVE.
If you give him any attention whatsoever ,he rolls onto his back so you can tickle his tummy. My kinda guy.
One of them is one of those Bengal cats. Only about 7 generations from wild cats, so very good hunters. She's , erm, deterred.
In a previous home we had a new neighbour move in next door with 27!!! The cottage was one and a half rooms upstairs and the same down!!! Within a few months most of the cats had legged it to the nearby farms where they had much happier lives (and considerably more food)

I'm firmly on the fence , re topic. It just seems to waste a lot of energy, and has clearly upset many.
Whilst sitting on the fence, maybe look at it this way: by using the ignore button, you're deprived posters of their audience, that way, you've won?
Comfy fence this.
I couldn't resist a sneak peak either Jo

I've said before . " I wish I had £1 for every topic re cats"
^ You could buy a cat
I'd rather eat my own flesh.
My neighbour has 9, yes 9 of them : need I say more?
Mad cat lady!?

9 is a colony though! Rather excessive!
