Thanks everyone for ID on my plants. Names now in my little book so I can learn them. This little book is getting a lot written in it, plants that people have posted about that I'd love to have and some to look up. I knew that I wasn't really knowledgable about flowers ( and veg it now seems) but since joining the forum I've realised that I only know bog standard plants. Having much pleasure learning about the things that you are all growing. Really love all your pictures. Thanks all.
Zombie & Fairy I also really like Fatsia, have a large one in the garden and a smallish self set in a pot, I've plans for the "baby".
Verdun - thanks for the heads up, I bought this only a few weeks ago so not sure how it behaves So I will look out for something to go in its place when finished flowering.
KEF - its called 'alstroemeria psittacina royal star'. I bought it at a 'flower power fair' (google) a few weeks ago.
MrsG the buddleia turns the right way when you enlarge
Zombie I had a Fatsia in a previous garden which grew very quickly as it was in just the right spot. It flowered every year too. I bought one about 6 weeks ago for my new front border here and it's grown a fair bit already.
In the right spot they romp away. I love them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
