Nanny Beach, thanks for the exercises I will try them, I do have some others from a chiropractor but I only do them when I need to. She said don't garden all day and do the exercises before and after. On by the way I'm 58. Other thing I like to do is play music by the carpenters and sing with them, when I was little I wanted to be a singer but when I was grown up I changed my mind I got married instead which was I mistake I should have been a singer.
National Trusting, walking, reading (esp.in the winter,I can read a couple of books a wk) suduko, mahjong, jigsaws, knitting, forum chatting (also on work related ones) and now 'into' colouring in - its the 'in' way to relax, de-stress and chill....so they say ! There are some really lovely adult colouring books on sale now, I have also got some 'posh' coloured pencils and felt tips and have to say it helps to 'escape' at the end of a hectic day. Also love classical music.But...as I love growing flowers from seed I am always searching either online or in books/mags for inspiration.
Gardening always comes first, especially growing vegetables organically for our consumption, but otherwise I can relate to most of the things you have all written. I love Opera, but mostly have to rely on DVDs that I have collected. I also love botanical illustration which I've been doing for some years. Knitting is the fall back occupation when I plonk down in front of the TV.
Sailing - or rather, at the moment, living in the boat and putting right the succession of things that go wrong, principally with the engine.
Radio 4 and 4Extra
puzzles, music (listening and singing - keep well clear), hill walking (rarely these days)
Often wondered about opera: I like G & S (and have done two or three) but my one experience of grand opera was La Boheme in which, as I recall, the heroine was dying of TB, and still dying when I woke up an hour later. Carmen, maybe.

Will have to wait until autumn at least, if I can still find the pattern
took me a little while to get back into it & lean the technique but it`s very relaxing when you get up to speed.
I`m looking to shoot something very artistic in a garden *photography not an actual person*
