help me choose a new hedge

Im in the process of removing a very old, mostly dead conifer hedge between us and nextdoor. Im totally overwhelmed with the choice of what to replace it with! i definately want evergreen, possibly flowers or berries, it needs to be slowish growing as i dont want to be trimming it every five min, need to be able to keep it…
