where did I say " rugby players"?

I note you don't give any reason why SOME, I'd say ANY sports people deserve more than consultants in hospitals.

top footballers, is the record transfer fee now £80,000,000?, F1 drivers, top tennis player, top golfers, the list goes one.

None of them deserve to be paid so much.

    They're just playing games

Average Premier League salary rockets to £2.3m as clubs' TV windfall goes straight into players' pockets

to-day's Telegraph. Do you really seriously think they're worth that much?

If so you're on a different planet.

I understand what you're saying Hosta - but they're not paid form the public purse so it's not a fair comparison. Some abuse it ( footballers spring to mind) - but many work very hard for their earnings, which come from advertising etc

I think most people would like to see doctors etc earning much more, and frankly, no matter what teachers earn, it isn't  anywhere near enough to deal with the little gobs****s they endure on a daily basis.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I'm sure Ferrari, Bugatti and Aston Martin dealerships think they deserve every penny. Maybe if they weren't paid so much they might be able to reduce the price for spectators to go watch the games?

  • Ok Hosta, I agree. A tiny minimum of sportsmen and women are paid ridiculously high amounts. So, as you are so well informed, what do you think, in monetary terms, a professional sportsperson should be paid? Lets say, as an example, a professional rugby league player.

I neither know nor care how much people playing games should be paid.

and when did I say I was  " so well informed"

why do you have to put words into the mouths of other people?

I have an opinion, I never claimed to be " well informed"

Are you so gullible that you are suckered into this world of £2.3m for people playing games? If so , I feel sorry for you.
