Lovely blues/violets and limey greens in your vignettes, David. That Salvia is gorgeous. Yep, rochebrunianum is definitely on my radar, must get some seed!

An old water trough which I think I will plant up with herbs. Two mints to pot on which will stand in an old wash tub with no bottom. Monkey flowers and geraniums. Sweet rocket and finally plum tart iris.

Love the water trough! And I would love some of that white Sweet Rocket. I'm growing the purple kind from seed someone gave me.
frit-nice trough, great iris.
a mint recipe
bring an adequate amount of cream almost to the boil.
add a couple of crushed mint leaves. let it steep for a few minutes.
remove mint and bring cream to a boil.
add as much sherry as you like, pour over a bowl of excellent mussels
serve with good bread and possibly an eggplant caponata
The white rocket is lovely - wouldn't mind some of that too. Great trough Frit
