Morning Runnybeak I've not ate it yet but will today, I like to slice them put them on a baking tray and season and put in a hot oven for 10-15mins until crispy mmmmm gorgeous! : )
flumpy yes it's very good its held at the Great Yorkshire Showground there's one in spring too, we usually go to both and stay over, love Harrogate , we go to Harlow Carr too while there
Yes luckily this is for in our small wooded area and we've done a soil test so hopefully it should keep this colour , there is something you can add to the soil to change the colour though isn't there Verdun? Although dont know how good it is.
Thanks for that Kath we will look into that, I used to go to Harewood House (classic car Rally's ) for years but they have now stopped it, lovely grounds there : )
what size pots now Lyn? You will lose them if you plant them out now I think. My own rooted plants vary from a few inches in 9cm pots to bigger in 3 litres and they will all have some protection either by fleece or gh. Those in the garden will stay out and I will know which are hardiest. Black Adder and Sangria have survived 2 years outside already
they are in four inch pots, deep ones.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
