wintersong. Black Prince is a beauty isn't it? I had one in my last garden and everyone admired it. I've got one I bought when "up country" the other week in the tunnel ready to plant.
Can't believe I can see the light at the end of the tunnel finally. Started earlier this year than usual but had so much to do and now I'm looking at a couple of leisurely gaps left. My problems now are colour clashes and need for changes in form, my weakness is flowering spires
Then it's sit back and watch what happens through the seasons but that's the joy of gardening
And for me! Veronicastrum virginicum 'Album' is on my current wish list, when I have room to squeeze it in... tall but airy and self-supporting, and bees love it.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I had a couple of hours on my new lawn mower
Replanted 2 of my pansy plugs that were lifted out of the soil by the winds last night. Obviously they weren't planted deep enough!
Hosta, I bought Black Prince as one of my five clematis from Taylors, this will be its first year so I'll let you know at the end of this summer
I told them at the nursery it must be about the 8th one I've bought. Folk kept asking me to pick one up for them.
Hosta
now I'm really happy
