Clear blue and sunny here too.  OH has cleared all the crud I piled up on Tuesday and removed the bits of trellis panel I couldn't shift so we are now clear to cement the posts to firm them up (metposts don't resist winds) and install the new panels but not today.   We're off to hunt for a new sewing machine for me.

I will go and take some cuttings of the purple gooseberries though as it's an auspicious fruit day according to Biofreak's biodynamic calendar.

No shed tidy.will do it next week . honestimage but sorted pots washed. And more tidying  of my collection of wood, hello kef.

  • Spent the afternoon shifting a pile of paving stones away from an area I plan to dig over in the next week or so.

I did suggest to my under-gardener that this might be a good task for him to do but he just looked at me over his glasses and continued to do his sudoku. Consequently I now feel totally exhausted and have shaky muscles in my arms!

Well been GC and got 8 bags of compost had a quick look round nothing really took my fancy.

Planted my two trees laburnum and Amelanchier lamarckii image. While digging hole for laburnum I found a iron pipe which I thought was a drained pipe but nope lucky,  spade went right through it rotten as pear. I found a 1m angle iron length after. I found all sorts in this garden, under the lawn I found huge pieces of concrete and stone, I keep think garden was a land fill sometimes with the amount of rubbish I keep finding image.  No gold or diamonds found yet I still looking image

Oh dear Singing Gardener you need to get that under gardener of yours motivated image

  • Unfortunately he's reluctant to get outdoors when the weather is cold which, as I tried to explain to him, is unfortunate as he' s really most useful in the winter to do the heavy work. In the summer I'd rather he stayed well clear so that real gardening can happen....

I've cut off hellebore leaves, they were flowering away hidden by the leaves.
