Fresher feel this morning but no rain forecast so will get filling up the green wheeliebin with prunings after it gets emptied this morning. The mountains of bindweed that is flowering beautifully needs pulling out so i can get in to pullout the nettles to let the August rain in to the snowdrop bulbs. One giant task for one tiny old lady. I can see me doing it in half hour bursts interspersed with half hour gasps watching the golf in wet and windy St. Andrews.
Feeling rather sleepy today, I think the late nights have caught up with me.
It was a lovely sunny morning so I took the covers off the vegetables, then we went into town (in need of blowing off cobwebs after spending days inside because of the cold) and then almost forgot to put the covers back on. This afternoon it is very cold with lots of wind blowing things around. The TV news was full of shots of people on the outskirts of Sydney throwing snowballs and cars skidding everywhere. The main highway between Sydney and Melbourne was closed - don't know how long for.
In the morning, I transplanted some lettuce, that had self seeded, into a tub and put in the greenhouse to get them settled. Also once again pulled up the plastic end of the greenhouse which slips down when the wind is from the south (our cold end).
I' what decided to try to get on to the 'hello forkers' thread, but I haven't quite worked out how to get to the latest entry and there are literally thousands of comments. I'll keep at it. I'd still like to keep in touch with your site though and maybe some of the others - I find them very interesting. Catch you later.
Thanks GWRS, we found it, but my problem was getting to the bit which had a space for submitting a reply(or really, contributing if anything occurred to me). the site is so large, that it took ages to get through all the pages. We tried using the green arrow that BL without success, so I simply kept on page turning. I'm now up to June 2015, so I'm almost there.
im looking forward to participating in the thread. They seem like a very caring lot.
Hello, Busy-Lizzie. hope all is well with you and your garden. The water is draining away well at St. Andrews! Going to be very windy this afternoon. We had a bit of rain this morning in Bristol but not much and dry and sunny now. I do hope it is a nice day for Monty Don's visit to the Botanic Garden on Sunday. Getting near now.
Pat, try clicking on your name on this page then go to "my settings" then "thread starting page" "default to last". That should always take you to the last post on any thread so you can write under it. I'm surprised that clicking on the green arrow on the right didn't work, always does for me. Did you click on the correct green arrow? I use a laptop.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

See what you mean about the colour - lovely.
Thanks folks. I still don't understand why it turns on its side. It was the right side up when I clicked the "submit reply".
Oh not to worry Pat. That is something to do with the site. Flumpy and i have both had it happen occasionally.
