Isn't it weird - no where near warm enough for the thermals one minute, then snow the next.  Good for the garden?

Snow promised but not delivered.  However howling winds and driven rain all night and our paddock across the road is a lake again with a gaggle of geese and ducks swimming.  I shall have to plant more willows along the stream that marks the boundary.

Main road now clear, gritter out last evening & earlier today. Side roads only passible with extreeme care. Buses had problems & are now stopping at junction with main road!

An inherited elderly Lilac bush/tree totally uprooted! Well new planting chance.... but have got a clematis planted beneath canopy edge that'll now need a support! J.

I hung my washing out in brilliant sunshine at 9am, took most of it in cold but dry at 2pm, then had a hasty gallop up the path 25 minutes later to take in the last few items through a raging gale with hailstones in it.  Now wet and gloomy.
