Lyn - I also liked her comment that nobody needs qualifications to be a good gardener. As she said - you learn about gardening by getting out there and doing it (and making mistakes - even if she didn't say that last bit !!)
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I have them all recorded and watched the Norfolk one today, mainly beacause I have family in Dersingham
and have never been, its very flat!
Well, some of it is - but Norwich itself is quite up and downy - I hesitate to call it hilly as I know some of us live in really hilly areas, but here we do have some steepish slopes - my OH's student digs were up a hill with a 20% incline and is the venue for a notorious cycle race, the Gas Hill Gasp! And on the north-eastern fringe of Norwich is the wonderful nature reserve Mousehold Heath with it's amazing view over the city - a little reminiscent of the view from Fiesole over Florence, don't you think?
We live to the southwest of the city on a range of low hills which are the remains of glacial terminal moraine - there's another ridge of terminal moraine along the northern coast of Norfolk, reaching it's peak at Beacon Hill, the highest point in Norfolk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon_Hill,_Norfolk .
Yes, the Brecklands and Broadlands are flat, but in Norfolk we're proud of our hills too
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
i have just watched the gardens in Norfolk and was completly blown away with the garden and the sculpter, i wish it was closer to me i would love to visit
I met Christine at Holker garden festival this year and she was more than happy to be approached and chatted away to every body

Although I have enjoyed a few of the programs I have to agree with Salino that I do find her rather patronising at times, which puts me off.
