Is Baz n Hels that new Heston Bloomethal ice-cream, like Ben and Jerries?  My spuds, runner beans and toms, had all merged, I dug up the first earlies, 2 weeks ago, took the bottom leaves off the toms, yes, I confess, I couldnt remember which were cordon and which were bush!!! I always take off "side shoots" in between stems, Hubby takes off a lot more, told me I hdnt taken out enough, then moaned because I removed leaves, there were some ripe ones in there which couldnt be seen, they are now ripening better.  Got up around 5.30, it was 11 degrees, here on the South Coast was VERY surprised.   Told Hubby wea5ther forecast said 9 tomorrow night, he said yes, in Scotland, er no, here, bad news for my citrus, which will loose leaves below 10, and Brugmansis.

Hello Nanny Beach it's all part of the same allotment that's where we sit to chill and sit in the sun (when we get it ) We grew the cabbages from seed along with most of the other veg .Not bad for first attempt

baza are you SURE that cabbage is real? it looks soooh perfect, where are the holes left by bugs, and slugs? Now at that time of the year my sprouts and caulis have to be netted, I desided to use beer traps, well, next thing, our new puppy Luna, has got under the netting and drinking the beer, - luckily she has been "done" for lungworm, my Vet had a dog die a couple of weeks back, Newcastle Brown it was loved by slugs and Luna.   No, I didnt mean the pics, I meant did you have a garden at home as well? Did some digging yesterday, we mounded up turf and soil 2 years ago, after digging out a new bed.   It looks like a burial mound, we garden on clay, Hubby did quite a bit at the weekend.   I broke it up with the spade, and bagged it, helped by Luna, who desided digging was fun!
