The hard work has now begun

    image

Makes it a lot harder with all this rain we are having the ground is heavily sodden .All i'm doing is turning it over and leaving it clumped together ,if thats the right term,

This year i'm going to make 2 strawberry patches at the bottom got a good idea for how i'm gonna do that post photo's when i've made them. Also the centre part of the garden is going to be made into 1 .Plus on the righthand side of the garden i'm going to plant 15 giant sunflowers which should look the part as last year the ones i planted faced the wrong way so these ones should look the part.

Anyone got any ideas on flowers thats about 1m high used blue cornflowers last year looked nice but we fancy something different

    Thanks

Hia Hazel i've checked the ones you mentioned and the ones GG said also and they are both lovely looking flowers . We have some pondering to do over this horrible wet winter . Yes not i'm not the worlds biggest winter fan roll on spring so everyone can start again.

    Thanks

Baza all this rain stopping me going and I have over stretched my arm the other day and still hurting

Brought my self a new border fork as really bent the other one digging the plot by finding a fence post metal spike under the soil - what things have been dumped on the plot

think because it has not been that cold that the weeds will still be growing

The allotment shop is shut and re opens next weekend they are doing a re-fit  so that will be nice to see with newer stock
