    Hi Hazel

I've done 2 things differently this year

1st as the sunflower is growing i have moved the support string up every time the plant gets taller whereas last year I had loads of support strings on them and some even cut into the plant so this year I have only used one and kept it near the top of the plant .

2nd I have used a tomato feed once a week and always watered the roots well every other day.

Whether this has helped me I'm not sure but I'm pleased with how they are turning out so far.

    Thanks

Baza they look great  - I leant the string thing only used two bits but was fine one day then the head got chopped off the next so it is in a plastic bottle indoors will see if opens - the sunflower did have small side buds so hope they will open

Lots has been going on mainly digging and finding all sorts of things a coat with fluff around hood, electric shaver, boulders lots and metal and rubbish

Hia GG It's great to see your allotment it's looking excellent all the hard work you put in has paid off .I heard some strange things been found in an allotment but i think the electric shaver tops the lot he he

I was only growing tomatoes in the greenhouse but i was given some peppers so i have them to pot on .

I think i might try water melons next year could you show me a photo of how they turn out .

Keep posting the videos love watching them

    Thanks

Hello Baza the water melons were free seeds from allotment shop as out of date so glad they grew - will put picture on of how they turn out I guess I will have to feed them to get big

Stranges things on my plot even found plugs as well, lots of golf balls which is nice to come across will have to have an area for playing. Found lots of boulders where the sweetcorn to cucumbers are, all the finding area under ground some where the dirt humps are  so know why there is uneven ground

Did find a spade depth down bit of metal broke a bit off then like post in ground had to get dad and the angle grinder to cut it as low as possible

Brought my self a strimmer from Lidl last week so now can get the weeds down quicker to help with the clearing

Glad you like the videos I know it was a long time since the last video but will be quicker next time

    imageimageimageLook good Baz n Hels.

I'm not growing potatoes this year, I've cut down on the veg as the flower garden takes so much time now I open it twice a year for Charity. But I have broad beans, runner beans, onions, cabbages, lettuces, courgettes, cucumbers, mange tout peas, herbs, soft fruit, tomatoes and sweet peppers.

It is a bit messy, not tidy like yours!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Hia Busy-Lizzie

Your garden looks great everything looks like its growing great.

I love how you have covered parts of your garden to stop weeds .I hope you don't mind me pinching your idea for mine especially the onions i seem to weed forever there.

Where do you get the sheets from?

    Thanks
