Hia GG have to be honest the first lot of sweetcorn I grew failed reason for this is I put it out far to early so I grew some more in the greenhouse and waited till they were at least 2 ft tall and waited till mid May to plant them out and I tell you what I have never tasted anything better than freshly pulled cobs
Hello Everyone Its been a while as nothing much is happening BUT dug all of my Parsnips up a had a good crop they came in all shapes twists and sizes but look at this beaut on the right most of the parsnips look like the one on the left.
I was up early at the garden on Sunday and took my normal photo's
A typical November Autumn morning
I have to say i thinks its a shame how only a month ago the garden was green and full of colour and now Autumn has took over and nearly everything has died off .
BUT i've been buying seeds for next year and looking forward to it already so shove off winter and roll on spring.
Hello, my garden looks pretty revolting now, been out there a while, Hubby for a few hours, clearing, tidying, dug up first carrotts, cooking now, for Sunday lunch, along with King Edwards, spinach, blackcurrant crumble. Sowed first early peas and green manure. Retired on 27th October, no excuse now!
Its a day early but HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone hope everyone has a good one.
That to one side dreading checking the garden tomorrow we got a taste of storm Frank even if it was only 3-4hrs it didn't half pack a punch with those winds .
We'll see if i'm a good builder or not i'll post some photo's of how my garden faired up fingers crossed it won't be to bad.
Posts
Thanks
