She is indeed Verd. We won't get the worst of it down here - it will mainly be further north and west - but we do have weather warnings for tomorrow night and into Friday.
Thanks for your concern
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Runnybeak and Busy Lizzie - thank you so much for your kind thoughts and comments. It was a very strange thing to happen, and if I ever start to try and make sense of it, I end up blubbering, so I just accept it.
There have been a couple of occasions in my life when things have happened and people have said "someone was obviously watching over you that night". They're the kind of things that could happen to anyone, and we survive them by chance - maybe. Sometimes it's hard to make sense of the outcome because it defies logic. I'm not clever enough to figure it out.
p.s.
I don't think Abigail is knocking too loudly at our door here in Wales, but take care to those whose door the little minx is knocking on.
And a p.s. to Verdun, I was expecting something dramatic and laughed out loud when I got to the cheese. I hope you won't panic when you realise the face of The Virgin Mary is appearing in your next fried egg - just wait and see!
Just wanted to say that it's been fascinating reading everyone's stories. It's amazing what people experience - what's it all about? - why are we here? Oh crikey! I'm off to bed.
