What a brilliant day - dull & misty weather but sparkling, sunny company - really great to see everyone again. Snoodle and Panda bought loads of plants as usual, Dove's poorly wrist didn't stop her opening her purse either & the rest of us did pretty well too - we now just have to find homes for them all
Good garden borders (lovely grasses) and some excellent plant stalls (in addition to the nursery) & all very reasonably priced - heartily recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Scrummy picnic too (pics will no doubt posted before too long!). Sorry I didn't contribute girls - will definitely do better next time! - but we have some talented gardeners & cooks in our midst.
Thanks for suggesting this one Nut - it was a hit
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
It was a fantastic day - totally agree Topbird What a beautiful setting - a walled garden in ancient parkland - and the misty weather just added to the atmosphere
Beautiful plant too, and sooooooooooo cheap!!! Panda and Snoodle have just left here after having tea and ginger cake with me and - Panda's train should be pulling out of the station right now, and Snoodle should be nearly home.
I'm comfy on the sofa and we're just thinking about ordering a takeaway
I'll see if I can upload some pics onto this new laptop .........

Hi folks, great day. The only improvement would have been some sunshine.
Been on google images, those are akebia pods.

I was amazed by the seedpods. I'm lucky if I get the odd flower, never seen a pod.
But it's a very sheltered walled garden containing too many plants that I've lost over the years
