Just cut some perfect Gertrude Jekyll for a friend who is "sitting" in a hospital room with her mother. She was so grateful for their beauty and perfume. We forget that flowers are nice no matter what our journey and can really help Share some today
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne
Oh Cathy, I can relate to everything you said there. My mum died in March, I kept her at home but it was very difficult, mainly trying to get help from the services, I finally got someone to come and sit with her through the night on the very day she died.
dad is 92 and so far very well, I am dreading it next time round as I expect you are.
as for the Potentillia, rabbits chewed all mine down last night together with a whole row of perennial Gaillardia grown from seeds.
I don't know why my ipad won't do a capital letter at the start of a new sentence!
thanks Katherine, he was old so to be expected.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Lyn sorry about your Land Snail, they are fascinating pets. If you want to hear something funny that I think you will get, mum had to have her hair washed today, both of us ended up soaked and the dog barked throughout! All in all, a very noisy wet affair that did not go to plan at all!
Oh yes Cathy, done that, apart from the dog and did she moan all the way through the process.
I am trying to get another snail , they are really tiny as babies, not as big as a small one in the garden, but mine grew to have a footprint the size of my hand.
dont worry Fishy, I do the same in the garden, just not the same as the pet one.

Oooh... sorry about your pet Lyn... pets are familly for me, so I don't see how it is silly to mourn them when they pass...
Cathy it sounds like a difficult situation... I am happy you have your garden, it is great stress relief therapy... but poor potentilla!

Didn't moan just accused me of trying to drown her
