Likewise Verdun - my Canadian cousin has just been diagnosed with early Altzheimers and is having to go into a home.
As Fishy has said - it's the unhappiest time of year for so many. For those of us lucky enough to have our health, a job, a roof over our heads and food on the table we should spare a lot of thoughts for the ones who have nothing or who are enduring pain of any kind. I know just how lucky I am.
