  • BL - so glad to hear the good news image

Positive thoughts for everyone with cares and worries this week.

Verdun, I find that when opening the door to cold callers, be they promulgating their religion or trying to sell double glazing, telling them I'm off work with Norovirus works a treat - you hear the gravel crunching as they run up the drive  - well it worked the time I did have Norovirus, so why not use it again image

Our aussie lodger decided to stay elsewhere last night, for that reason.

  • Confused of Norfolk here - you have Norovirus?  youjust  said you had Norovirus?  The Aussie lodger has Norovirus?  he's taken up selling double glazing? image

Outbreak of Norovirus at Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield.

Mum has it, I have it,and OH has just started going nauseous and complaining that his stomach feels like its been kicked by a donkey, so I guess he's about to start with it. Pretty inevitable I suppose. We should probably put a big red cross on the front door to keep away marauding cold callers.image

  • Get well soon Fidget, Mr Fidget and Mama Fidget - my sincere sympathy - I don't think I've ever felt so rotten as when I had it. image

I usually have a pretty good immunity system, and it appears to have cleared in 24 hours, but mum started at 1am yesterday and is still ill.  She is still on liquids only. I have to say I couldn't get comfortable in any position yesterday. Imodium, Buccastem , and paracetamol seemed to have sorted most symptoms.

So sorry Fidget - you are having a rough time of it. My thoughts are with you, but please don't on the Norovirus -none of us on herre need it.

At the hospital on Friday the MRI showed area for further investigation, so off for ultra sound and possible biopsy. Thing is every time I have to have an investigation the op is put off for a week, Should have it by Christmas though. Now on Hormone therapy.

Still feeling positive but do have low moments, usually in middle of night when there is nothing else to think about!

  • Matty ((hugs)) our fears loom large in the middle of the night don't they - do you think those recorded books and headphones would work for you - I know someone who uses them to help keep her mind busy in the middle of the night. image
