Hello image I don't believe it's mid-week already! Had a lovely week away, the weather just right for garden visiting and chatting and, well, relaxing really image

Beaus, looking forward to the Big Shed Cover Up photos. I know it will be good as you put so much energy into everything you do.

Sorting through photos at the moment but here's a border that I will  adapt for next year?  For some reason at the top of the page!

Love the shabby chic looks fairy and sweetpea3, such fresh colours image

Yvestie, about honeysuckle- if you can bear to, once planted and it starts to grow, after one season cut down to two feet to start new growth at the bottom. Then keep cutting back a little each year. Gives bushy growth and more stems. Patience needed mind.

VictoriaS, the plant we discussed ages ago is 'Geum avens', it should be a mound with upright stems. Mine was overcrowded so lay down !image

Lyn, I think the grass from the Picton border (second pic) could be Panicum virgatum northend ( upright, clear green) difficult to say as too soon for flower/seed heads. image I could have done witha tour of the garden, so many good plantIngs  image

Ill take some pics tomorrow of border in front of the shed, of course it's not gonna be till next year it gets going but I'm sure the plants have grown at least an inch lol

Today I moved the swing seat as that was face on looking at the shed and their washing line! God knows why I didn't think to move it before! It took me all day as not easy task with Beau at my heels with every step! image

Great to have you home image Ttfn xx

Morning image I was away away and offline, easier to relax, although did take photos.

Sorry, by adapt I mean I will use the planting ideas and  some of the plants - when I can find out the names  image so taking a long look at my garden to see how it will work.

Will share my ideas as always hesitate to change too much, catch up later.image

Rosemummy, the Cadfel rose bud is exactly as it was before I went away. So worried that the rain would spoil it. Maybe this sunny weather will bring it out image

Good morning Bizzie, I can help you out with the black grass if you would like some as I have it in my garden and doesn't really go with my borders, just let me know image

It's is called black mondo grass and in the picture the green and red one is called Japanese blood grass image

Sorry don't know the Latin names

The black one is ophiopogon planescapus nigrescens and is also called black lily turf.  It isn't a grass but looks like one till it flowers.

The Japanese grass is imperata cylindrica Red Baron.

Good combination - and I like that privacy screen colour too..

I've recently got back from hols in France where we went to just one "vide greniers" market and found nothing at all of interest.   Bit disappointing.  Hols were good though.

HI BM.  There's a glitch somewhere.  I haven't been able to see page 21 all week until this morning and now I can't see the first 20 so I can't see the photo.  If you Google the common name you should find something on the web that will help.

With any luck I'll get to a brocante being held in a neigbouring village on Sunday but, as I've said before, I really should be getting on with what I already have - chairs to paint and stencil and seats to re-cover, occasional tables to spruce up, other bits of furniture to revive not to mention my cast iron garden chairs that need a coat of Hammerite before next spring and their backs and seats repaired and painted and the kitchen to decorate.............
