Have a huge vase of allotment grown sweetpeas in the bathroom, some grown-from-seed bishops children dhalias in the lounge and a huge bunch of cosmos in white and various pinks in the kitchen.
A few weeks ago I cut a lovely bunch of amazing scented roses (Gertrude Jekyll) and combined them with some small purple buddelia and used some eucalyptus foliage for a fantastic shabby-chic look - all from the garden.
I like the the colour combinations you have chosen SFord are you particular about the type of vase or use whatever is to hand?
Beaus Mum, sorry can't recall the thread. It was earlier this year when VS had picked her first bunch and displayed them, beautiful rich colours (sure it was VS). Anyway, OrchidLady showed similar on 'what's the star....' thread which reminded me.

Yvie, i loved your samplers. I spent the long winter evenings doing some tapestry for a cushion
My favourite piece of embroidery (I have a few ) is probably from the 1920s or 30s
I am learning how to do all these stitches, so I can do something like this next winter
Blooming Nora artjak! Everything you do is gorgeous! Such beautiful work
Bizzie B pics as promised,
jam jar of sweet peas
little fluted glass vase from Home Sense, love that store (part of TK Max)

I love jam jars of home grown flowers, just lovely
Thank you
Beaus mum, you confused me earlier, lol, thought you meant me. Then read back and realised it was Lily3.

I use jam jars too, some are slightly shaped ones also use jugs. Have a thing about jugs but only plain white ones or glass ones.
Love Home Sense shop too. I found some great things in there.
love your cross stitch Yvie and artjak I used to do it a lot. Must start again, will have more time in a few weeks when i leave work
