BM more than welcome to pop in and Bekkie. I try and avoid Merry Hell when its busy but it has its advantages living so close in that you can pop in at unpopular times just for an hour or so and get lots done. According to the Beeb Saturday light rain showers and Sunday is supposed to be glorious and sunny all day. Not too bad.
BM, there is a dobbies this way on if you really want to visit one, i think its the gailey island off the A5, do check that tho, my directions are as good as my spelling!
As you can imagine, BM, I was pretty peeved with teh rats but that's what you get for buying a linen/cotton mix parasol. The wood's still good so if and when I see some fabric I like I'll have a go at making a repacement but it's rather large and will need some thought.
What are you doing with your garden chairs? Just a paint job or an aged effect too?
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Cheers bekkie, I'll get my OH to find it for me, he will be thrilled!
Obelixx maybe you could look out for fabric in charity shops like old curtains etc as I bet you are a super woman on a sewing machine
The cast iron table and chairs I got as a bargaindoff eBay a few years ago, the paint effect I'm doing is very Rachel Ashwell Texas prairie shabby chic, reminiscent of peeling paint in the hot Texan sun
Back in the real world there is no way I was gonna strip those chairs So all scrubbed clean and now just painting white over the rust and flakes I am pleased but just taken two hours to complete number 2! Might do one a day

Yviestevie I love your pink parasol
In fact I've loved reading and looking at everyone's posts on here.
OL I have an old fashioned wooden handled ladies brolly you could borrow, but alas I don't think Paisley is shabby chic.
