Oh dove from above maybe that is what he is I'll def get a pic today, he is speckled but seems less so as the days go on. I'll look out for the hedgehog food thank you? Hope your raspberries stay safe
They look like two different birds to me - the first one has a pale supercillium (eye streak) and could be a chiffchaff - afraid the picture's not very clear - they won't stand still for photos will they?
Second one could be a young blackbird - it would help to see it sideways on, but I don't suppose he'll pose for the camera either - but it does look a bit on the small side for a blackbird - the fledglings are roughly the same size as the adults by the time they're hopping about the garden.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thank you Dove for getting back so soon, the little chuckle refuses to stand still to pose in theright light too He is def same bird but pics came out in wrong order, the second pic is when he was still for one second and the first pic was when he was about to fly off the bird bath I'll try again today to get clearer pic as he is bound to be about aftere that storm last night and this morning
Hmmm if he is roughly the same size as he should be as an adult by now, perhaps he is just a common sparrow I orgionally thought he was a baby thrush as he was so speckled but as days go on he seems less so
Oh they are dead cute! And I think twins! Your pics are good on my iPad as can double click on them and they come up on new tab and look fabulous, as does your border too, my cup of tea entirely

He is
Right I'm off to see what's splattered by last nights storm!
That is a nice little bird Beaus mum, I like the funny beaks the young birds have
This is a rubbish pic of my blackbird fledglings, so I'm afraid you have to be able to zoom or enlarge to see them:
The two fledglings are sat on the the fence and still need feeding and the female blackbird is on the bird bath.
Yes, I'll top up the bath

Yes, iPads are good for that- I like to zoom into people's borders
That border is a work in progress, but it's having to do the work itself...
WIP! Wish my work in progress projects looked like that!
I still can'tupload pics though from iPad, have to use dodgy lap top!
