bekkie, I do it the other way round; wear gloves for household cleaning, where my hands may be in contact with scary chemicals and don't often wear gloves in the garden
Well that makes sense artjack! i just hadnt engaged brain! Will do better in future, i was also considering puting cream on before i put the gardening gloves on, not sure if that would help or hinder!
I think it is inevitable that you will take the gloves off at some point to do some delicate work like planting seedlings, so perhaps the liquid gloves stuff would be useful.
I don't think they do an anti-bac spray Bekkie, I do use an anti-bad spray but sparingly, usually only when I'm cooking to clean the worktop and I use co-op. I use method pink grapefruit for absolutely everything else, it smells amazing
Someone mentioned going to the docs, I think that might be a good starting point to check for infections etc and hopefully get the cracks and split skin fixed, then start on looking after them better....with no bleach
Bekkie, you aren't allergic to your gloves are you? Has anyone said that? I've come here a bit late and rather skimmed through. I always wear gardening gloves and rub in hand cream at night, just an ordinary one like Vaseline. But recently my lovely OH bought me David Austin's expensive hand cream when we went to see his rose garden. I love it and it smells wonderful too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I dont think im allergic, realised today that im really stupid and dont help myself! It seems to get better and worse with no expaination, will do as we do with plants from now on, start with a bit of tlc and see how it goes
Slept with cream on my hands and gloves, i did know about this before, but of couse wasnt consistant with it, hands already feel a little better, its not hurting to bend at the knuckles
