"The first recorded use of the term Welsh rabbit was in 1725. It may be an ironic name coined in the days when the Welsh were notoriously poor: only better-off people could afford butcher's meat, and while in England rabbit was the poor man's meat, in Wales the poor man's meat was cheese."
It's hard to give the ompression of carpets of the things but this bank shows them off well. You can see how bare everything else is at the moment.
There are all sorts of walks and gardens there including a fernery. There's not much to see yet but I like these little fronds hanging on to a mossy old tree stump.
Our Council are going to start charging for removing green waste -up to now it has been free-luckily the tip is only 5 minutes away so is not a problem for the locals with cars-or with compost bins-it is all part of money saving
The snag with this is that more people will just cram into the refuse bin-therefore reducing the amount that will be composted that gives the council a grant if they meet targets-so might be a shot in the foot??
