I think salome is more opening orangey and fading to apricot.
Remember to mow around them, Panda. (or remind the undergardener)
These were here when I came. I've dug them all out once. They are probably King Alfreds, but they're a nice splash of colour and the dying leaves get hidden by herbaceous perennials.
Panda, we have the same problem to tackle with our new daffodil path in the lawn. It's best not to cut the leaves back or tie them up even though they will look awful. I had intended to mow straight over them when they finished but now having a rethink. My only thought so far is to grow 'knee high' grasses along the path to disguise them (but of course then they won't be in the lawn any more). Any thoughts?

Orchid flowered one.......that's a must have for me
It's very pretty.
I can't quite get my head round pink daffodils though, still a little undecided on that one but it does look very pretty
I think the "pink"ones in catalogues have been touched up. A bit like the "blue"rose that turned out to be a muddy lilac.
Exactly my fears FB
Fidget- no idea as to names of any except T A T and my new RVW. They all came with the garden.
would this be an acurate description of 'salome' Fidget?
“Salome “ AGM Very consistent; with the corona opening yellow and turning to warm pink. (Qualitydaffodils.com)
Here are some of mine:
And a couple of shots of my daffodil walk:
None a sexy as others but beautiful none the less
Border by our garden wall.
In pots on the patio (tulips to follow).
Around the roses out the front.
I love daffodils but they are a bit of pain when you have to wait for the leaves to die down before having a bit of a tidy up.
