That astilbe looks beautiful with all that dark foliage Caral and the rose is immense! I didn't really want to follow any rose pics as I'm a bit of a rose dunce but I'm quite pleased with these flowering for the first time...

Ah yes Victoria - it is the dark foliage that makes the Caral's astilbe so eyecatching. Nostalgia stands out for the same reason. Lovely. Flower bird you have a lovely collection of pots. The plants and gardens shown on this thread are an inspiration. Never seen a poppy like that Mark.

Here is one of the border at the edge of my veg patch, I sowed the Candtuft but the others (a type of Marigold??) self seeded from last year, I had every intention of moving them but didn't get round to it and actually think they look quite pretty, although maybe a bit crowded

They do actually, probably not your choice of colour combination Verdun (or mine usually LOL) but they do look pretty
