Apologies to Lizzie....I should have commented on Cedric's arbour in my earlier post ....anyway, albeit a tad late, I think your arbour is really nice and in a really idyllic setting.
Thank you David, no need for an apology. I still prefer your arbour though!
Lovely stone fountain, shows up the colours and much the best sort of water feature for parents with young children - if any see this.
Thanks, Lizzie, I agree about water & young children.
As part of the same pebble garden I have this half-barrel water feature I wouldn't consider it as child-safe, but then, my family is all grown up now.
Snowdrops are all out and other bulbs starting. Some hellebores too.
Gorgeous Lizzie and what a beautiful coloured pansy.
Not a great photo but the promise of things to come - hopefully the sunshine yesterday will have hurried things along a bit ....
Lizzie, I've got those violas
This is the part of the veg patch I dug and raked over today
That's why my back is sore - but it was so worth it
Crikey! You have rakeable soil??
Lucky Dove!
I like blue and yellow, but I usually grow a paler viola, Morpho or something. They are pretty.
That Viola is called Morpho. Very pretty
I got some for my new hanging baskets as they seem to hold their heads up well in the wet.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
