Your garden is so beautiful David S and more in advance of mine. I'm in SW France.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

This was my wisteria covered pergola a couple of weeks ago,  It is still going strong and filling the garden with a beautiful scent.  We also noticed a blackbird is nesting above the table and chairs.

Good morning image Lovely gardens everyone.

Beautiful G.psilostemon  David, dont know the variety but I want one! and the philadelphus - what a display. Do you get good blooms every year?

Thanks for sharing everyone, great thread.

  • This rose is beautiful and is a continuous repeat flowering all through summer.  It has an amazing scent.  I know it is not a bee friendly rose but I do have lots of those as well and plenty of other bee friendly plants.  But this one I just had to have.  I love it.

That's just beautiful LL. I hope you get plenty of great weather to enjoy it - and the blackbirds too! Pot against the wall with the water feature (?) above is very classy. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thank you everyone for your kind comments.  Yes Fairygirl, it is a water feature.  My hubby built it, it is just an ordinary large terracotta pot with the hole plugged and sealed and a pump inside with cobbles and a few plants in.  Took a while to find the wall spout but finally found one in my local nursery and just had to drill the hole for water pipe to go.  I would love a pond really, maybe next year, have to go on my list of projects for hubby to do which he doesn't know about !!! x

It's just perfect LL. I think you should transport your garden immediately to Chelsea described as a 'small Italianate courtyard garden'.
