I love it too when it is flowering Annie - but mine seems to spend most of its time sporting frost bitten brown withered clumps of petals - even this year, when frosts have been more rare
Chicky, the shrubs at either end are Acer's, I got them from Wilkinson's in 2009 for 50p each as they had no labels they have been in pots since so thought it was time they went in the ground.
Kef, I'm out hoeing the borders every time the sun shines or it's dry so not a lot gets past me that shouldn't be there as god knows what would be growing otherwise with the amount of seed I put out and the birds I get keeps my busy
I was out today and planted some Anemone Blanda Mixed colours and I have some Tete a tete daffs to go in as well bit late for them they are in a pot at the moment so when they're done I shall replant them in there
KEF, my bulbs aren't as far on as by ours but I too am going out every day checking for new 'life' in my pots. It's the first time I have attempted layered planting to have a continuous colour dismay in spring (I hope!). I will try and get some pics in tomorrow.
Artjak that's a striking plant, are the blobs of nectar a problem, or do you just place it on something that it can't damage?
Rain my Anemone have got flower buds on.
Tracey I have layered bulbs in my pots, they usually look nice. This year I've crammed more in as I ran out of planting places and it was too wet, so they are trying to escape from the pots.
I'm living in Australia now but loving looking at the spring flowers you are putting up. I spent the day at a garden show and bought a beautiful pulsatilla called Perlen Glocke. I already have a white and lavender colour. Here is a photo of my Mary Rose which is flowering beautifully at present.
Thanks Chicky. I love your hellebores and daffodils. I bought some miniature bulbs today called Moon Fairies and some allium siculum. They were rather expensive so keeping my fingers crossed they flower year after year.

A weird and wonderful Amarylis that I was given for Christmas. It produces huge drops of sticky nectar.
Hi David yes I'm still here.

Here's a couple of photo's of my front garden this morning.
This photo was taken on a rather misty spring morning about October last year. Strange to think we are just at the end of summer here now.
