Hi - Orchid Lady - basket is an old linen one which had a cotton liner - was going on skip when I thought a bit of Lavender will look good in that - as it's Lavender I don't bring it in - wait to see if the basket holds up!
Great pictures everyone. I will have to get out tomorrow and take a few. Tulips and iris in the front garden looking lovely. Doronicum lovely spring colour. Been reshaping the borders so hopefully will get some good piccies once planting is in,
The middle one is at the back door, it looks a bit bare as I have sown some spinach in it and may decide to put a chilli plant or 2 in when they are ready.
The bottom one is my attempt at an alpine garden, not all Alpine plants but I think it looks pretty
Cost for all three including sinks, touch up paint, gravel at the bottom, compost and plants was less than £50!!! That has to be my bargain of the year
Lovely Belfast sinks Orchid lady! Could you tell me the name of your Saxifraga in your Alpine one? I have that one and I've lost the label and forgotten it's name
Brilliant bargain for under £50. When we moved in here we found one hidden in the corner of the garden so it was free! Bought a metal plug and some aquarium sealant and I made a wildlife pond! wish I'd found 3 though....

Jack 3, your hover thing is a Bee fly (Bombylius Major). I love watching them zoom around the garden, they particularly like Muscari plants
