I planted out my seedlings too Dove image

I sowed mine at the start of October and planted them out last week into 1 of my raised beds.

I made the mistake last year of growing them in a pot, it was just too dry and they developed grey mould by Late July

    Lesson learned.

Here are half of them next to my Camellia

I also picked a variety with longer stems and bigger flowers, last years were too small for picking really image

Some of the free tulips from GW last winter.

This is the third year for these tulips - they're smaller than they were, but still pretty.

False Oxslips that have appeared from nowhere

These tulips were part of a retirement present from a colleague - I must email her a pic.

Dove it's all coming together brilliantly. image

    Chicky, thanks.

OL my Pieris is about 9yrs old. Trust you have it in slightly acid soil. Mine is neutral so we dug that bed out and filled it with eric' compost and top up each year. Mum grows her's in neutral but always put leaf mould around them throughout the year. Works for both of us.

I've not actually tested my soil yet, but there are loads of Pieris, Cameilas, Rhodenodendruns etc near us so though it would be ok......mind you, you never know what the guy that loved here before us put in the soil!!!

Doc's Ligularia and Pasqueflowers prompted me to take a pic of mine with the new violet Pasqueflowers I got last week tucked in beside it:

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
