I have to pick the best of the bishops babies dahlias to keep. I think this is a keeper. There is also a finely cut leaf one, but it hasn;t flowered yet.
The blue one is wild chicory.it is very lax, flopping all over. If you enlarge it you can see the insect on the left flower. All the dahlias following it are this year's seedlings, making tubers in the veg patch. Late afternoon autumn Sun makes the flowers glow. There are quite a few terracotta coloured ones. I may plant them as a group next year.

Well thats the big question. How hardy is it? I'm taking cuttings just in case.
Anyway, I can see a block of six plants together might look good. This is just one plant from a rooted cutting I bought in Spring.

Your patience with seeds, to tubers to those beautiful Dahlias is quite something fidget.
Do you protect the tubers when they are in the veg patch?
