I think i've posted enough pictures of the new log path at the back of my garden under the weeping willow and so thought i'd post a few of the front half.....

Lovely garden Gilly. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for each stage when downloading photos.

Is that your front garden Chris? Looks big, do you walk across the lawn when you come in? Looks as if it's in the countryside.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

No this is the back garden image I probably confused people with describing where it was. This is the front half, and then the back half under the willow tree is my woodland area image

Got it! Good sized garden then. The trees give it a lovely country feel.

There seems to be some nice lilac around this year......this is one belonging to a neighbour, pic taken from my bedroom widow.

Some great pics to inspire me on a dull grey morning..

Walking down the lane this morning the last cpl of days of sun have really made some punchy orange poppies that have self seeded in a retaining wall come to life. Technically its on our land so I'm claiming it was all my own work image .

Now off to find a home for 6 white delphiniums (Magic fountain pure white) that I found for 30p each in the - almost dead - section of Morrisons.

Fantastic colour of poppy - do you think they are Welsh poppies?

Very likely.. Must remember to collect some seeds this year. The odd thing was I'm sure last year they were just more typically yellow.

I've got the yellow ones and I fling the seeds around each year.  Glowering Lancashire skies in your top pic.

Lovely gardens Gilly and Chris - trees make all the difference to a garden.
