    It's a Weigela nut - Middendorffiana. I only know because I came across it last night when I was checking out stuff at the nursery I go to. I googled to get other pix of it - and that was the one that came up on my search!

     wintersong great acanthus-i like the clematis on the level-cut all mine to the ground this spring so they are a few weeks behind-cloudy and cool here with splatters of rain-yesterday winds at 93 k-hows the weather there

    Lovely pictures all. Chicky love Alliums although yours seem more advanced than mineimage.

    Winter song - lovely arch. I'd like one in my garden but the garden needs a bit more design to fit one in without it looking a bit out of place.image. The Acanthus is huge. Hadn't realised they got that big!

    system disfunction-semi abandoned back garden. very nice narcissus, planted my tulips late they also did fine

    fairy - a treat to have tulips now that ours are all over - anyone would think it was part of meticulous planning on your behalfimage
