Yviestevie does your gyp come back each year, I've never had much success and it looks so beautiful with the other flowers peeking through and around it
Love your scab corner Victoria, some of my faves there, beautiful
Bizzie B love the geum, I'm never sure what the difference is between geum and pointellas but mine certainly have done lovely too this year and def will invest in more Or can they be split?
I tried a search for it with Beaus Mums mention of potentilla and the hopwoodii, google suggested potentilla hopwoodiana... Do you think that is the same plant?
I like the way the colour fades to almost a cream it looks like and then a dark centre

Took these today, after the rain on Friday and Saturday.

Hi Yviestevie - thank you - Dhalia is Arabian Night
Love everyone's bugs, butterflies and dragonflies.
BizzieB what is that light pink plant next to the shasta daisy?
I've got an idea this is an ugly plant, but I like it so much it clouds my judgement
I grew this from seed this year and I like the cut of its jib
Scab corner
Also scab corner but the cinquefoil pushed them out
This combo is a bit too bright, even for me
But it catches the eye...
Phew, hope no one saw that- I thought I'd broken garden gallery for a minute - there was stuff everywhere
VictoriaS, not the best photo, the colour is (I quote from limited searching) geum type, soft apricot orange, cupped flower, soft foliage.
Lost label but recall 'hopwoodii' as part of description. It ha
s a mound form of leaves with long stems as seen, so sprawls. Never fails to flower. Will get a better photo tomorrow.

growth from mound of leaves
This bed is getting crowded, wondering if plant should be upright!
