Thanks Forester2 and star gaze lily. It's early days. A lot of the plants are still very small, but we're getting there.
The barrel is actually a large upside-down pot that someone didn't want. I was a bit worried about the weight of it if it was full, plus I didn't have anything big enough for it, so I used it to give the layout a bit more height. I want to have things tumbling down over it eventually.
We're very lucky with the view beyond the balcony, at least in that direction. In the winter you can even spot the occasional Alp.

Where are you located Ommthree - Alp?
How wonderful Ommthree.
Took a few today of my front and rear garden while the tulips are in full bloom and before the forecast rain flattens them!
I love this time of the year!
Just beautiful, such a variety of colours and a Magnolia. Lovely.
Agree, much prefer this time of year, and the autumn. Colours come into their own, not bleached out by the summer sun.
A mild evening here. Spent a few quiet hours tidying up, odd jobs and so on. Good way to end the day
Beautiful Bob - what a welcome home from work
. Drives the report writing straight out of your mind - perfect

Superb pics. Keep em coming all year long
