Hello Chicky, not quite home yet, in our pied a terre flat in Eastbourne, but finished exploring in Shropshire and Worcestershire. Leaving England on Sunday, staying night with son near Orleans then back to Dordogne on Monday.
Your garden is looking lovely. What are the little blue stars? Laurentia?? So pretty.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi Lizzie - enjoy the rest of your stay. Little blue flowers are campanulas, the trailing sort - can never remember the real name but something like portenschlagia. Deer don't eat them. Have plenty of laurentia too (similarly deer proof) - just coming in to flower now.
this is a big tree-taking the pic made me dizzy. yosemite beautiful but smoky. temps here next week 37, 38, 39C so off to the coast. everyones gardens looking great-mine is looking like it wishes it could move to britain-going to mendocino to look at dahlias
Love your pots Panda, the long blue pot is pretty. Whats the pretty mauve plant in the round blue pot
Thank you chicky, the table with 4 chairs is my bargain impulse buy, I bought last october, I think it was you chicky that asked for a pic, but at the time it was boxed up and in the garage. I went for a plant and came back with that, and I love it. But your garden is beautiful chicky and you've worked so hard, the results must be very rewarding.
my lovely husband has shown me how to put photos on! this has not too much interest or relevance, this is our front garden last week, it's rather overflowing, it was all dug up last year so had to let it grow this to see what we have, all labelled now so lots to dig uo/ move etc

Well as I keep being told Lily, we can all have a bad year
Such a shame though as I know how much sweet peas are liked by almost everyone.
My pots . . . made up of two patio plant packs designed to fill a 12" pot each:
Apart from the blue pot
The shallow pot
The patio palm
And the long blue and white one
Great pots Panda - loads of colour
Lily - love your garden - the picture of the tables under the trees is idyllic !
Great to see the progress Gardenfantic - before and after photos are great - shows just how much can be achieved
and welcome "home" Lizzie ...hope trip was good.
a couple of pics from me to be going on with
