Hi both - do you give any particular feed to your Hosta's?

Hey, progress is looking good.  I love the pebbles you've put around the hostas Tray14.

Good news here.  I ordered my hostas a couple of weeks ago and I've at last got the plot prepared.  They're going to be a bit late going in but I'm hoping they'll settle well and quickly.

I feel went a bit overboard with the slug repellant - LOL - plan next year to get brave and split and put some in boarder. CD - glad you have got your Hosta plot ready to go and look forward to seeing the pictures.

My search is on for Hosta Queen Josephine (my moms name) but maybe next year......image

Lol, the slug pellets make it look colourful!  I think I'll be taking a sleeping bag out to sleep next to my hostas.  I'll be paranoid.  I've noticed a few blackbirds and a lovely thrush in the garden recently though, so I'm hoping with them and the copper rings, the slugs will be kept away.

  • grrr. I grow my hostas in pots, with copper tape, in drip trays with a constant moat of water in them, with crushed eggshells as a mulch, away from any overhanging vegetation .... and STILL some wily mollusc has managed to munch them. Must be coming in by parachute.

Oh what a shame Ginglygangly.  Will your hostas be ok do you think?
