The insurance inspector has been and approved all the work needing done.  I feel much better now.  It will not be long after my conservatory is mended when it will be full of plants again.

image that was quick for insurance assessors, I'm very pleased for you Marion.

Your plants look stunning! The golden yellows, reds, pinks gainst the greens,  softer blues and grasses, what a beautiful sight to greet the eyes in your front garden image so much to look atimage

Marion your flowers are looking gorgeous, so glad to hear the work to your conservatory is going to be done soon, Marion, I want to pick your brains again image

Two of my tomatoe plants have started flowering, did you say I need to brush the flowers at this stage? And am I right in thinking I've to feed them tomato feed now? image.

Hi flumpy 1, I'll share my limited knowledge about growing  tomatoes:  not sure about brushing them but when they start to flower use tomato feed weekly. image your plants must be quite big now, any photos?

Each time you visit your tomato plants just give a little tap to eacg flower truss. just in case the pollinators are not around.  this makes sure the pollen gets distributed.  I feed half strength tomato food every second watering.  Great tomato crops this year and no blight on them or the potatoes!  Hooray!

My goodness i must have needed some sleep.  I slept through the radio alarm set for 7 and one hour of radio 4 and woke up at 8.301  A cooler night and less on my mind no doubt.  Rai forecast for Bristol about 11 so will skip all but urgent watring this morning for which my water meter will be grateful.  i am finding places for the pots from the conservatory ten at a time so this morning it is the turn of the cape gooseberries which will be given a spot in a raised bed where I have dug out some potatoes.  Great crop of pink potatoes this year.
