  • I like Parkersburg too, and they put problems right without a fuss. I got some seeds seedaholic.com, they were beautifully packaged and presented. I've planted two packets so far and they have germinated well. Nice clear instructions.

  • I was almost ready to put Coblands on 'the bad guys' thread if there is one for appearing to forget about an order of mine for the second time.

Today though, after querying it twice, a box arrived with all but one plant I ordered, for which I have to wait but - and here's the best bit- they sent me a free plant, a decent sized Heuchera strawberry swirl, complete with brief apology.

It looks more like a geranium than what I know as a Heuchera so it can live in my in-the-making geranium slope. And like it.

Cool though, eh? I like a free placatory plantimage

  • I've ordered from Knoll twice this year Philippa and was pleased with the grasses although the courier bounced one parcel around so much the pots were out of shape. I don't know if they are grass specialists exactly as they do perennials as well.

The Really Garlicky Company (motto; it's chic to reek!image)

I ordered 4 bulbs of garlic 'music' on Thurs pm, the parcel arrived today, beautifully wrapped and there were 51, yes folks, 51 huge cloves for £11.75 inc postage.

    I am really impressed.image

I'm bumping this because these people were by far the cheapest suppliers of garlic, I got fed up with trawling through sites offering garlic at silly prices.image

Once again Parkers have come up trumps for me, 30 shorf height plants for my border edges. I have potted them up and will keep them in the grenhouse till Spring.17.00 for 30, not bad. I bought the same pack last year and have already split and divided them. Little piccy attached.

  • Lyn, they look very healthy.I have ordered about 70 young /plug plants from parkers too. I look forward to potting them on. A very ambitious project for me as this is my first full gardening year, having caught the gardening bug last year. I will never look back now.
