Ah, point taken, Lily.......had a duff pooter for a few days.

It's a tricky bridge because it's narrow and quite long with a bend at each end. You sometimes have to just take a chance and go for it!

Steve - yes, I had a really smashing day. Snow, sun, views to die for,  and some nice people to chat with on the way.  What's not to like? image image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

So long as you don't put another photo of me on here David, everyone will be fed up with it! Most don't like their photos here, I think, but I've been here before.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

RB - it's a lovely series - he's done a couple of them now. image

You can go to Oban a couple of different ways but whichever way you go, the hills are stunning. The usual route to Fort Bill on the A82 takes you through Glencoe, and before that you have all the Crianlarich, Tyndrum, Bridge of Orchy and Etive hills either side of the road.

I promised a couple of Loch Lomond views for Snow. This one's from April 2007, from the summit of Ben Lomond looking across to the Arrochar hills :

Same time, but looking south down Loch Lomond-it's not frozen, it's just the light! Somewhere down there is Firkin Point image

Views of Ben Lomond. From The Cobbler, May bank holiday this year :

Finally, from the A82 on the way home that day :

    Hope you like them image
