this picture has loaded ok from my laptop so its not too big it must have something to do with Chrome on my tablet
Regarding formatting the memory card David I wonder why its not mentioned in camera instructions ? any way I suppose its like defragmenting the hard drive on the computer.
I will continue to put my pictures on here good or bad and ask questions and hope the answers are useful to somebody else
PS. The above shot of the duck above would have been a really nice shot had I been able to take it from the side....I think the wing has a beautiful symmetrical pattern. Alas, we have to be quick & take the opportunities as they offer themselves.
Btw, as for the future of this thread, I notice it has been viewed almost 21000 times now, so someone is deriving something from it.

Some more really nice efforts, Ann.....you're quickly becoming quite an accomplished photographer.
Re formatting memory cards. Like all information in instruction books, they usually confine themselves to saying how to do it, rather than why.
From what I know, I think it's advisable to format these cards every few months.
