Thanks Meadowland, I wish I could paint, or even sketch, never been able to. It is a beautiful spot, I walked for an hour an half around the lake & only saw 3 other people in total, very peaceful.

It is called Rouffiac, about 4 miles from me down a traffic free little lane. Near Payzac.Dordogne. Is a busy camp site/leisure complex for July & August & then heavenly peace descends.

That really is an excellent pic, Dordogne Damsel. It ticks all the boxes from a technical point of view i.e. rule of thirds and has the composition content that wins competitions....well done!

Caught this today whilst on a winter walk by local lake, thought the sky looked lovely in the reflection, shame the snow from earlier had melted.
